Important News about Southwest Archaeology Today
Dear Friends:
Southwest Archaeology Today (SAT) is undergoing an editorial transition and will resume publication on Wednesday, May 2. From then on, SAT will be delivered to your email inbox every Wednesday morning, though the occasional delay due to holidays or illness may occur.
SAT will continue as a digest of weekly news related to Southwestern archaeology, NAGPRA, cultural patrimony, the peopling of the Americas, and technological and methodological developments in archaeological practice. Likewise, we will continue to feature news related to the Antiquities Act and other federal and state laws protecting cultural heritage, as well as news related to our National Conservation Lands.
SAT will also continue as a virtual bulletin board for events, lectures, and the like. We will require submissions to be sent for consideration via the form at this link.
You are also welcome to continue to share stories you think might be of interest to your fellow subscribers. Send those by email.
Our submission guidelines and editorial policies are currently undergoing revision, but will be very similar to our existing guidelines, which you can review here. We will include a link to the updated policies in a forthcoming edition of SAT.
Questions, comments, or concerns? Please contact us.
Thank you for your patience and ongoing support. We’ll “see” you on Wednesday, May 2!
