Mark your calendar for Saturday, June 25, 2022, 10:00 a.m. to noon (MDT), to visit the 2022 Archaeology Fair hosted by Archaeology Southwest and the University of Arizona’s Preservation Archaeology Field School at Gila River Farm in Cliff, New Mexico.
Everyone is invited and it’s free of charge, join us in learning about the team’s current archaeological investigations and research. Informational exhibits will be on display, and there will be hands-on activities for visitors of all ages to enjoy.
Direction Details: From Silver City, take Hwy 180 about 30 miles west. Drive past the first turn-off on Hwy 211 towards Gila; take the second turn for Hwy 211 (in Cliff). After about a mile the road will fork; go left (north) on Hwy 293 and drive to mile marker 4. Just past the mile marker, turn right into a driveway with a small sign that says “Gila River Farm.” Please use the parking area next to the large building down the driveway.
Safety measures will be in place, so please be prepared to wear a mask and keep a safe distance.
